Visitor's Log

Mom Heather, Simone and brother Cole
Simone had her first visitor today (Friday, 5 June) and he came in the form of Cole. Mum and Dad doesn't count so Cole you are ... number 1! And dressed for the occasion.

Receiving visitors cheers Simone up and bring a bit of distraction during the long hours where she does not have the freedom to come and go or run around outside as she would love to.
Mel, Simone and Carlos

Saturday (6th) brought Mel and Carlos. Genevieve (4) sent Simone a beautiful painting since she is not allowed to visit.
Tamara & Nicola

Tamara and Nicola popped in on Sunday (7th). They are friends from school and Tamara's mum and dad made the trip with them. Thank you for the love that is obvious from the effort you put in by coming to visit Simone.

Simone & Stacey

Aunt Stacey visited Simone Monday 8th and brought with her butterflies for Simone's wall and plenty pictures of fashionable short hairstyles. Can't wait to see which one Simone chose.

Lauren cutting Simone's hair
Tuesday, 9th. Lauren drove all the way to Simone to treat her to a new hairstyle. It was quite a challenge to have her 'visit' approved outside of visiting hours but since it was a professional call as well the nurses finally relented.

Magda, Simone & Michelle
Magda and Michelle Carter visited Simone on Tuesday, 9th. One of the gifts she received from them is a diary and according to Jason she is using it as a daily journal. Simone was having a really good day and was full of beans.

Mum Kerryn, Kimberley
& Simone
Aunt Stacey was back late afternoon and gave Simone a spa treatment, helped her bath and wash her hair. Blow dried it nicely. Creamed her legs and 'massaged' her feet.

Kimberly and her mum Kerryn popped in for a visit on Friday 12th. She had a really good time with them.

Gaby, Simone and Coach Angie
Saturday 13th brought visitors in the form of coach Angie and Gaby from her soccer team. They stayed for a looooong visit and had Simone in stitches. She is tired but very happy. And super excited about the upcoming Sharks vs. Stormers game. Simone is a die hard Sharks player.
Tracey & Simone

Sunday 14th brought Aunt Tracey all the way from East London. She is spending a few days in Gauteng so will be able to give Simone all the hugs and love sent by airmail. Auntie Diane was also scheduled for the Sunday visit but bronchitis has her bed bound and with strict instructions from her own doctor to stay away from Simone.

Caitlyn, Anel
& Simone

Caitlyn (Simone's sister from another mister) and her mum Anel popped in along with Auntie Tracey on Monday, 15th. The two old ladies didn't leave the girls unattended so they couldn't get as much gossiping done as they would have liked to. They brought gift from the Nels from the river as well as Aunt Annatjie and Oom Daan.
Simone & Carlien
Reach for a dream

Tuesday brought a surprise visitor in the form of Carlien from Reach for a dream. She 'bombarded' Simone with questions and was kind enough to leave two teddies, one for Simone and one for Cole. Auntie Tracey also popped in for the last time before flying home.

Wednesday 17th brought Magda, Michelle and Stacey. They
Stacey, Magda, Michelle & Simone
once again had a lovely afternoon.

Mr. Workman, the principal from Assumption School came for a visit on Thursday the 18th. Simone had the following to say about the visit: "Mr Workman is so inpirational, motivational, he has so much knowledge and he makes me laugh. I can't wait to go back to my school that really cares for me". He brought along Simone's Rosary after it received a blessing at school.
