Tony's message
Hi Hi Simone, Jason, Heather and Cole. Just thought I would send this message through to you all as a family and to the rest of the Group … As I dressed up to go out this morning, I am once again reminded of how personal and private this race called life is.
I get into my car, drove out, and joined the road where other cars are already travelling on.
Lesson number 1: We don’t all have the same entry point into life. As I keep driving, I pass some other cars, while other cars would pass me.
Lesson number 2: We won’t travel through life at the same speed because each car is built differently. As I moved on, I catch myself trying to pursue another car in front of me, only to discover that, just as I am about to pass it, it turns off the road into another me to road.
Don’t spend precious t road.
Lesson number 3: We don’t all have the same exit point.
We are all on this journey called life. We will enter at different points and exit at different points, but one thing is clear: we will all exit this road at one point in time or the other. It may be a 10km run God has given you, or it could be 100kms; what is important is that you run your race well.
Your car has sides view mirror and a read-view mirror. You use both to see the sides and the back of your car respectively. Other cards will be behind you, while other may be beside you for a while.
But you know how dangerous it is to spend time looking at these mirrors; they will distract you. That is why your car has got a large windshield/screen in front of you. It gives you the biggest view of the potential in front of you and the resources you are yet to attain.
Don’t spend precious time looking at your back to see those who are pursuing you, or looking at your side to see those who are trying to overtake you. Keep your eyes in front of you and stray true to your race. When it is time to exit the road, you would know that you have run your race well and ended well.
I humbly pray God to bless and help you as you run this race called LIFE. Stay focused and remain yourself.

How are you doing Jason? I’ve been tracking Simone’s journey on WhatsApp and I must say you have all approached this “fight” with such positives and in a be yonder that really illustrates that a person/family is not alone on such a journey. You have really touched so many people through this and it is impossible not to be inspired. Great work – keep it up and wishing you strength for the days ahead. Regards Johan van Schalkwyk

This is beautiful...
Life is like a journey on a train...
with its stations...
with changes of routes...
and with accidents !
We board this train when we are born and our parents are the ones who get our ticket.
We believe they will always travel on this train with us.
However, at some station our parents will get off the train, leaving us alone on this journey.
As time goes by, other passengers will board the train, many of whom will be significant - our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life.
Many will get off during the journey and leave a permanent vacuum in our lives.
Many will go so unnoticed that we won't even know when they vacated their seats and got off the train !
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells.
A good journey is helping, loving, having a good relationship with all co passengers...
and making sure that we give our best to make their journey comfortable.
The mystery of this fabulous journey is :
We do not know at which station we ourselves are going to get off.
So, we must live in the best way - adjust, forget, forgive and offer the best of what we have.
It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to leave our seat... we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life."
Thank you for being one of the important passengers on my train... don't know when my station will come... don't want 2 miss saying: "Thank you"

Hi J, call this hindsight or whatever you will, but driving along the PE beachfront this afternoon, I had a feeling of awesome calmness surrounding Simone, I was going to send you a message tomorow to say you need to cast your fears aside, she will be healed, and wham what a message to get!! Well done to all of you for all you have been through so far, you will conquer all!! Now have a whisky J!
