Simone had to go for her blood tests again today.

Haemoglobin 12.6
White Cell Count 1.9
Neutrophils 0.92
Platelets 291
Kidney function looking great again.

Simone's white cell count was a little low so they have put her on Neupogen for the next five days starting Tuesday. Otherwise she is good, saw Dr Mare and he was happy with her progress. Tomorrow we will be halfway through with the radiation.... Go Simone you are so strong you are just amazing!!!

Magda Carter my good friend has been very busy arranging blood drives and visits through to Simone on a regular basis.  Magda you are a super star!!

Magda had a scare of her own which we have kept quiet until we knew what the outcome would be!  Magda had a tumor of about 5cm on her left knee. She went through to Pretoria to see the Specialist that side and the following week she had it removed. We had another weeks wait till we knew all was good.  The Dr came back and said it was not malignant!!! You all have no idea how relieved we were to hear this news!! Someone up there is definitely looking after you Magda.  So glad you are going to be just fine. In between the visits to the Dr Magda has had time to finally get her squares in. Cant wait for this blanket to be put together, its going to be such an awesome piece of love when its done!
Gorgeous Magda Thank you for the beautiful pieces for Simone's blanket....

Friday afternoon I received a call from Gaby the Deputy Head Girl at Assumption.  Gaby has decided to cut her hair and donate it to the Cancer Association so they can make a wig for someone with Cancer...  Gaby has such beautiful long hair I was in shock!!  She said she wanted to do it for Simone and her family that has suffered with Cancer.  I was nervous and excited for Gaby but I told her I would make a plan so Simone could be there when she does it.  On Saturday during the soccer Simone and I left and went to meet Gaby without Simone knowing what we were doing!!
Simone was very surprised to see Gaby at the Hair Salon and it took her a second to realise what Gaby was doing!!  Simone was amazed and without words for what Gaby was doing.
Gaby you are an amazing young lady and everyone just loves you so much for what you did.  You really are a special friend to Simone.

We appreciate all you have done for her this last year!!!!! Good Luck with Matric...
